NL Central Playoff Race Heats Up

The Major League Baseball playoffs are rapidly approaching and each division is certainly heating up. Although some teams like the Nationals and Dodgers have seemingly been guaranteed a playoff spot for what feels like months, there are plenty of other teams that have to fight with everything they got to get into the postseason.

One of baseball?s most prestigious crowns over the past few years has been the division champion of the National League Central division. Partly because the Chicago Cubs are the defending champions and partly because each team in the division has a history of success, the battles going on with these teams have been extremely interesting over the last few weeks? and they?re just getting started.

Whether you?re rocking a custom Brewers jersey, custom Cardinals jerseys, or custom Cubs jerseys, one thing is for sure: there is some great baseball yet to be played.

Here is an outlook on out the Cubs, Cardinals, and Brewers will have to finish their seasons in order to be playing in October.

Chicago Cubs

The Cubs certainly control their own destiny, but that isn?t always enough in Major League Baseball. If they win out, they will surely make the postseason and be in excellent shape to repeat as champions (though that hasn?t happened since New York Yankees won in 1998, 1999, and 2000). They have to face off against the Cardinals, however, their devision rivals who have had the best of them over the last decade or so, six more times.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are right there in the division race as well. Milwaukee currently sits three games behind the Cubs and are on a two-game win streak. The majority of baseball scouts predicted the Cubs and Cardinals to be battling out for a division title in late September, but not too many experts saw the Brewers making a charge. Backed by Ryan Braun and Eric Thames, the Brew Crew are well on their way to being relevant in October.

St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have been a difficult team to pin down this year. They have all the talent in the world, with some excellent young pitching and breakout young bats in their lineup, but they haven?t been able to run away with the division title? even when Chicago was giving it to them on a silver platter. Although the Cubs won it all last year, and the Cards are much younger than previous years, them Red Birds still have playoff experience in their corner as long as all stars like Matt Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, and Yadier Molina are on the team.

There is no doubt about it: over the next few weeks there will be plenty of custom Brewers jerseys, Cards jerseys, and Cubs jerseys filling baseball stadiums as each time fights for a spot in the post season. Get out and show your support with either a custom Brewers jersey or another pro team!
