Outside the waistband concealed carry holster

At the present time, the Pew Research Center reports that three out of every ten American adults own some type of gun. Handguns, however, are the most common type of guns owned by people within the United States. Furthermore, recent statistics indicate that 72% of all gun owners in this country own a handgun. Throughout the country, recent data shows that 6.5% of Americans have been able to legally obtain a concealed handgun permit.

While the reasons Americans cite for owning a handgun do vary, 67% claim that they purchased their guns in order to protect themselves. It follows that they are also interested in protecting their families, neighbors, and communities. Given this, it’s not surprising to learn that 26% of handgun owners claim that they carry their guns most or all of the time when they leave their homes.

While some gun owners may go to a shooting or gun range to practice on a regular basis, not all gun owners do so. Recent figures show that around half of the gun owners within the United States go to a shooting or gun range about 13% of the time, while 40% of gun owners do so more often.

There are more than 16.3 million individuals that have received concealed carry permit holders as of July 2017. Whether they choose to wear outside the waistband concealed carry holsters or inside the waistband leather holsters may be a personal or experienced choice. Given that many licensed gun owners may have experience in the military and/or law enforcement, it makes sense that they would have knowledge on the most effective area to place their weapon.

For those individuals that may not be aware of all the legalities of open or concealed carry permits, there are 31 states within this country that allow adults to carry a handgun without a license or permit. Nevertheless, there are 15 states that do require someone to have a license or permit in order to openly carry a handgun. In some instances, when someone openly carries a handgun, it must not be loaded.

Whether someone carries a concealed or an unconcealed weapon, there are common areas to do so. If you’ve been looking for an outside the waistband concealed carry holster, for example, it’s highly likely that you know exactly what you require. While some people may prefer an outside the waistband concealed carry holster, the most traditional concealed carry options are the upper torso, waistline, and ankle holders. When you contact a company that specializes in holsters, they will be able to provide you with more detailed information as well as the benefits of each style and material.
